Kind Hearts Sponsorship Coordinator
"Kind Hearts care-point is located on the Southern edge of Addis Ababa and presently serves 102 orphaned or destitute children. Many of these kids live with a relative or sibling or neighbor that is not able to provide for them. Sponsorship enables that child to stay within their family and their community so that they can become future Godly leaders of their family and their country. Kind Hearts has classrooms and a teaching staff to provide a valuable education!
When I first visited Kind Hearts in 2009, the 68 children there were weak and lethargic, and barely lifted their heads from their desks. The care-point only had enough funding to feed the children a cup of rice once a week - otherwise the family had to provide food. Since our sponsorship program began, these kids have gotten to know the love of family and their heavenly Father through their sponsor family and regular visits. We now have 102 healthy, active and energetic kids at the care-points and 50 more children will be enrolling in September 2011."
